Western Alaska Minerals is changing its name to Alaska Silver Corp., effective April 25, 2025. The name change reflects the company's focus on the 75 million ounces of silver equivalent at the Waterpump Creek Deposit in Alaska. The rebranding aims to emphasize the company's value and planned 2025 drill program to expand high-grade mineralization at the deposit. The company's trading symbol will remain the same, but the new name will be reflected on the TSX Venture Exchange and the company's website.

Western Alaska Minerals (TSXV:WAM, OTC:WAMFF) has announced a significant rebranding effort, changing its name to Alaska Silver Corp. effective April 25, 2025, subject to TSX Venture Exchange approval [1]. The new name reflects the company's strategic focus on its Waterpump Creek Deposit, which contains 75 million ounces of silver equivalent at 980 grams per ton in inferred resources.

The rebranding aims to emphasize the exceptional silver value in the district and align with the company's planned 2025 drill program, which will concentrate on expanding the high-grade mineralization at the Waterpump Creek Deposit. Kit Marrs, CEO of the company, stated, "The name change represents our renewed focus on the exceptional silver value in the district" [1].

Alaska Silver Corp. will commence trading under its new name and CUSIP/ISIN (01176C109 / CA01176C1095) on April 29, 2025, while maintaining its current trading symbols. The rebranded website alaskasilver.com will launch on April 28, 2025. The company will continue to develop critical minerals at the Illinois Creek Project while advancing its silver assets.

The Waterpump Creek Deposit is a cornerstone of the 100% owned Illinois Creek Project, which covers a land package of 73,535 acres (115 square miles or 29,758 hectares) located approximately 38 kilometers by road to the region's marine highway, the Yukon River [1]. The deposit shows significant exploration potential across its entire length, anchored by high-grade silver mineralization and historical mining activities.

The company's headquartered in both Alaska and Arizona, bringing together a team with a proven track record of large-scale mine discoveries. The rebranding reflects the company's commitment to developing its silver assets while maintaining a balanced approach to other critical minerals.
