Alphabet(GOOGL.US) subsidiary Waymo confirmed on Tuesday that its self-driving taxis have logged over 100,000 rides per week, double the number reported in May. The milestone comes as Waymo has achieved it through cautious expansion, cost optimization and delivering a great customer experience, said Saswat Panigrahi, chief product officer. “We look forward to bringing more people the benefits of fully autonomous driving in the future,” he said.
