Washington Nationals' James Wood to Participate in Home Run Derby

Washington Nationals outfielder James Wood has committed to participate in the July 14 Home Run Derby at Atlanta. Wood, 22, has hit 22 home runs in 86 games this season, making him the third player to commit to the event. He was acquired by the Nationals in 2022 as part of the Juan Soto trade. Wood joins Mariners catcher Cal Raleigh and Braves star Ronald Acuna Jr. in the Derby.
