Walmart names Dallaire new chief growth officer
Walmart Inc. (Nasdaq: WMT) has appointed Seth Dallaire as its Chief Growth Officer, a newly created role overseeing global enterprise platforms including Walmart Connect, Walmart+, Walmart Data Ventures, Vizio, and a global Marketplace platform. Dallaire, previously Chief Revenue Officer, will lead initiatives to expand revenue streams through digital advertising, membership programs, and data-driven services. His appointment is part of broader leadership changes announced by incoming President and CEO John Furner, aimed at accelerating the company's "People Led, Tech Powered" strategy.
Dallaire's responsibilities now include oversight of the U.S. marketing and design teams, as well as product development, following a realignment of Walmart's organizational structure. This shift reflects the company's focus on omnichannel retail and customer-centric innovation. Recent performance highlights include double-digit growth in Walmart+ memberships, a 30% increase in Walmart Connect revenue, and a near-200% expansion in Walmart Data Ventures' client base.
Other leadership changes include David Guggina as President and CEO of Walmart U.S., Chris Nicholas as President and CEO of Walmart International, and Latriece Watkins as President and CEO of Sam's Club U.S. According to the announcement, these appointments, effective February 1, 2026, emphasize internal promotions and operational expertise. Furner stated the changes aim to centralize platforms for shared capabilities while enabling operating segments to focus on customer needs amid evolving retail dynamics.
The restructuring underscores Walmart's strategic pivot toward technology-enabled growth and data-driven decision-making, aligning with its position as the world's largest retailer.
