Two luxury hotels in New York City, operated by Walker Hotels, are introducing a unique service this summer. The Tribeca and Greenwich Village locations are offering an in-house 'Pup Psychic' service, available through August 26. This service is part of a wellness package for canines, designed to provide guests with an overnight stay while their dogs receive pampering and a psychic reading.

The 'Inner Pup Package' includes a virtual reading with the hotel's Pup Psychic in Residence, which aims to offer pet owners "intuitive insights into your dog’s inner world – from temperament to secret quirks and preferences." Additionally, the package includes a day pass to Happy Trails, a doggy daycare facility, where dogs can socialize in either an indoor or outdoor space. The package also features an in-room menu from Ollie, a pet-food brand, which includes jerky treats and doggo ice cream tailored to the dog's temperament and preferences based on their psychic reading.

The cost of the package varies by location. At the Walker Hotel Tribeca, the package ranges from $340 to $380 per night, while at the Walker Hotel Greenwich Village, it costs $495 per night. This service is being offered in conjunction with Happy Trails and Ollie, highlighting a growing trend of luxury experiences for pets.

Luxury experiences for dogs are not a new concept. Last year, Bark Air, an airline catering to dogs and their humans, offered first-class experiences in a private GulfStream jet. Typical dog owners spend a significant amount on their pets, including food, toys, and treats.
