W3.io, a pioneering coalition of builders, infrastructure providers, and investors, has successfully raised $7 million in a seed round. This funding round was led by Blockchange Ventures, with additional participation from Framework Ventures, Arrington Capital, and other prominent venture capital firms and angel investors. The funds will support W3.io's mission to simplify blockchain development and make decentralized technologies more accessible to businesses seeking to leverage Web3 technologies.

The primary goal of W3.io is to address the usability challenges that have hindered the real-world adoption of Web3. The company aims to create a programmable, intelligent automation layer known as the Prodigy Network. This layer extends Web3's capabilities far beyond traditional smart contracts, making it easier for businesses to deploy and integrate Web3 solutions without the usual complexities and overhead.

Matt Immerso, General Partner at Blockchange Ventures, highlighted the significance of this development. He noted that while the blockchain industry is entering a business phase, the current infrastructure is too complex and resource-intensive. By simplifying Web3 deployments and integrations, W3.io's programmable automation layer can accelerate the transition from building blockchains to using them effectively.

Nate Holiday, CEO of MakeInfinite Labs, one of the original contributors to Space and Time, emphasized the potential of W3.io to scale rapidly. By making it easier for the industry to co-build, co-market, and co-sell with MakeInfinite Labs, more projects can integrate Space and Time’s technology into real-world solutions without the usual overhead of partnerships or integrations.

Brian Freeman, Founder & CEO of Creatorland.com, also expressed excitement about the partnership with W3.io. He noted that the deal-making process for top creators is fundamentally broken and one-sided. The collaboration aims to build an AI-driven triage layer that can help Creatorland’s creator members streamline, negotiate, and triage their brand opportunities, cutting down on hours of inbox management every week and assisting them in winning higher-quality and higher-paying partnerships.

W3.io's focus is on delivering real-world solutions that are plug-and-play applications tailored for business use. These solutions range from global micropayments to collateralized loans and escrow, and tokenized stocks. By combining best-in-class Web3 technologies, W3.io is helping its Web3 ecosystem reach clients and achieve revenue opportunities they’ve been searching for.

Porter Stowell, CEO of W3.io, concluded by stating that the company is focused on delivering what customers actually want: better, faster, cheaper, and more secure ways to solve important problems—whether that’s moving money, managing assets, or building onchain apps that just work. W3.io aims to add programmable intelligence to blockchains, connecting AI, compute, and automation to make Web3 smarter, faster, and easier to use.
