Vinci Energies has signed an agreement to acquire Wärtsilä SAM Electronics, a German subsidiary of the Finnish group Wärtsilä. The acquisition, expected to be completed in Q4 2025, will strengthen Vinci Energies' position in the defense market, adding 350 new employees and €100m in annual revenue. The company operates in the integration of electrical and automation systems for the German navy and shipyards in northern Germany.

The acquisition is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2025 and will significantly bolster Vinci Energies' position in the defense market. The deal will add 350 new employees and an additional €100 million in annual revenue to Vinci Energies' portfolio.
Wärtsilä SAM Electronics GmbH, founded in 1906, specializes in technologies for energy and marine sectors. The company is active in the integration of electrical and automation systems for the German navy and shipyards in northern Germany, including Hamburg, Wilhelmshaven, Elmenhorst, Bremerhaven, and Kiel. This acquisition will enable Vinci Energies, through its Actemium brand, to expand its range of services in the industrial sector and strengthen its presence in the German defense market.
Vinci Energies operates in Germany across four business lines: Infrastructure, Industry, Building Solutions, and ICT. The company employs 16,600 people in 385 sites and generated a total revenue of nearly €5.6 billion in Germany in 2024, making it the second-largest international market for the VINCI Group [1].
The acquisition is subject to approval from the relevant authorities. Vinci Energies is committed to integrating the expertise of the 350 new employees and the additional €100 million in annual revenue into its existing operations.
