Vietnam launches NDAChain national blockchain to power digital economy

Vietnam has launched NDAChain, a national blockchain platform designed to fortify data security, streamline digital governance, and accelerate the country’s transition to a digitally driven economy. The initiative, announced by the National Data Association (NDA) on Friday, positions the system as a foundational infrastructure for safeguarding sensitive information across sectors such as e-government, finance, healthcare, logistics, and education [1]. According to an earlier announcement, the platform’s architecture supports real-time access, cross-sector integration, and instant verification, making it adaptable for both public and private sector applications [1]. NDAChain’s validator network consists of 49 nodes managed by government agencies and corporate partners, including major Vietnamese entities like Masan, VNG, SunGroup, VNVC, and MISA. These stakeholders contribute to the platform’s governance, ensuring compliance with international standards such as W3C Decentralized Identifiers (DID) and GDPR. The open architecture allows enterprises and government bodies to integrate NDAChain seamlessly, fostering innovation while adhering to regulatory frameworks. The system’s design also prioritizes scalability, with the capacity to expand as Vietnam’s digital economy grows.

The launch of NDAChain aligns with Vietnam’s broader strategy to leverage blockchain technology for economic modernization.
