On July 17, 2025, the Vietnamese dong exchange rates in both official and unofficial markets were reported, along with indicative gold prices. The State Bank of Vietnam (SBV) set the mid-point rate for the day at USD/VND 25,176. The interbank offered rates ranged from USD/VND 26,140 to USD/VND 26,180, while the unofficial rates were quoted between USD/VND 26,388 and USD/VND 26,458 [1].

The indicative gold prices, as quoted by the Saigon Jewelry Co. (SJC), stood at 118.60 million dong per tael and 120.60 million dong per tael. One tael is equivalent to 37.5 grams or 1.21 troy ounces [1].

The SBV allows the dollar/dong transaction to move within a band of +/- 5% around the mid-point rate. The dong's exchange rate against other currencies is not restricted by a band. The interbank offered rates are the latest indicative bid/ask prices, quoted from market sources [1].
