Verizon's Outage Costs Exceed $650 Million in Rebates. Dividend Expenses Far Higher.

Verizon Communications is offering account credits of $20 to customers affected by a nationwide wireless outage. If all 32 million consumer postpaid wireless accounts receive a credit, the total cost would be $647 million. However, the dividend costs far more, with Verizon's dividend payouts totaling $5.2 billion in 2021 alone.
