Vallourec, Vinci Immobilier in deal for Deville-les-Rouen site
Meudon, France, July 2, 2025 – Vallourec, a global leader in premium seamless tubular solutions, has announced a significant milestone in the selling process for its Déville-lès-Rouen (76) site. On Friday, July 11, 2025, Vallourec and Vinci Immobilier signed an exclusive sale agreement for the transfer of this site [1].
The agreement follows a major decontamination and rehabilitation process undertaken by Vallourec Group since 2023, honoring its commitments to elected officials and local administrations. In September 2024, Vallourec launched a call for tenders to oversee the sale of the site, resulting in exclusive negotiations with Vinci Immobilier in March 2025. Vinci Immobilier's proposal best met Vallourec's expectations and aligned with regional priorities expressed by local officials [1].
Vinci Immobilier's project aims to transform the Déville-lès-Rouen site into an attractive business hub, offering diverse employment opportunities and spaces suited to local businesses. The initiative is expected to create 300 jobs and align with the history and stakeholders' desires for the site's future development [1].
Furthermore, Vinci Immobilier will collaborate with the municipality and Métropole Rouen Normandie to rewild part of the site, developing 25% of the area into green spaces, particularly around the Cailly River, which will be restored to its natural state. The disused railroad line will also be offered to the Métropole Rouen Normandie as part of the future Cailly urban walkway [1].
Following this agreement, Vallourec Group and Vinci Immobilier will continue the necessary regulatory steps for the final transfer of the site, expected in 2026 [1].
Vallourec is a world leader in premium seamless tubular solutions for energy markets and demanding industrial applications. With close to 13,000 employees in more than 20 countries, Vallourec works hand-in-hand with its customers to offer innovative, safe, and competitive tubular solutions [1].
