Valero's Port Arthur Refinery Fire Under Control, No Injuries Reported.

A fire at Valero's 424,000-b/d refinery in Port Arthur, Texas, has been "essentially" extinguished, according to a company spokesman. All personnel are accounted for, and there are no recordable injuries. The refinery, which produces 10,000 b/d of diesel, 7,000 b/d of jet fuel, and 2,500 b/d of gasoline, will be restarted when it is deemed safe to do so. The fire occurred on Monday evening.
