Vale's Fazenda Marinha Project Promotes Socio-Environmental Actions in Sepetiba Bay

Vale's Fazenda Marinha project promotes socio-environmental actions in Rio de Janeiro's Sepetiba Bay, aiming to preserve native marine fauna. Since 1996, the project has monitored bioindicators, carried out environmental education, and strengthened fishing activities for local communities. Over 500 residents have benefited from mariculture and handicraft courses, while environmental education and training have reached 2,000 people. The project also provides technical support in mariculture and promotes microalgae cultivation for food.
