AmpliTech Group (AMPG), a leading provider of 5G Open RAN radio products, has announced the receipt of approximately $5 million in follow-on orders from a Tier-1 North American mobile network operator. This development comes on the heels of successful Q2 2025 deployments, which saw the company record over $7 million in total bookings and build on its earlier unaudited Q2 revenue of nearly $11 million [1].
The follow-on orders include $3 million in new orders beyond the previously disclosed $40 million Letter of Intent (LOI), indicating a significant increase in demand for AmpliTech's 5G solutions. The remaining $2 million falls within the original agreement. CEO/CTO Fawad Maqbool noted that the additional orders outside the LOI reflect customer confidence and growing reliance on AmpliTech's 5G technology.
The surge in orders is a testament to the company's robust performance in Q2 2025, where it achieved substantial bookings and revenue growth. As of July 2, 2025, AMPG trades at $2.89 on the NasdaqCM, up 7.4349% from its previous close.
In contrast, Vaisala, a company specializing in environmental and weather monitoring solutions, reported a 16% decrease in Q2 orders to €124.1 million, with its order book increasing by 2% to €200.9 million. Net sales for Vaisala decreased by 2% to €145 million, with EBITA at €19.6 million and EBIT at €16.9 million. The company's earnings per share stood at €0.30, while cash flow from operations amounted to €14.4 million. For the first half of the year, Vaisala's orders received were down 9% to €245.6 million, and net sales decreased by 2% to €292 million [2].
