USA Rare Earth's shares rose 17.46% to $25.97 as CEO Barbara Humpton announced a $3 billion funding push for a domestic rare-earth supply chain, including up to $1.6 billion from the U.S. government and the remainder from private sources. The funding aims to accelerate the company's mine-to-magnet strategy, including bringing its Texas mine into production by 2028 and advancing its Oklahoma magnet facility. The move aligns with the White House's $12 billion strategic mineral reserve initiative to diversify away from Chinese rare earth elements.
