Upbit, a leading cryptocurrency exchange, has announced the listing of Berachain (BERA) for trading in Korean Won (KRW) on its spot market. The listing, which took place on February 6, supports staking and transactions via a Proof of Liquidity model. BERA trading began at 22:00 KST, with initial buy, sell, and order restrictions in place. Upbit has warned investors of high market risks and urged cautious trading.
In addition to BERA, Upbit also listed Jito (JTO) and Scroll (SCR) on the same day. JTO, a Solana-based token, and SCR, a ZK-rollup Layer 2 for Ethereum, began trading at 18:00 KST. Initial buy, sell, and order restrictions also applied to these listings. Investors were advised to verify network compatibility before making deposits.
The listings come as part of Upbit's ongoing efforts to expand its cryptocurrency offerings and provide users with a wider range of investment options. The exchange has been actively listing new tokens and coins, subject to market conditions and regulatory requirements.
The cryptocurrency market has seen significant growth and innovation in recent years, with new projects and tokens emerging regularly. Upbit's listings reflect this trend and demonstrate the exchange's commitment to supporting the development of the cryptocurrency ecosystem.
