His extensive experience includes serving as executive vice president and chief operations officer at Western Union, as well as holding senior operations leadership roles at USAA and Nationwide. Walker brings a keen focus on strategic execution, innovation, and customer care to Unum Group.
Prior to joining Unum Group, Walker earned a Bachelor of Science degree in accounting from Herbert Lehman College in New York and completed the Bank Administration Institute at Owen Graduate School of Management at Vanderbilt University, where he focused on innovation, marketing strategy, and leadership for the banking industry. He also served on the IBM Board of Advisors and held a nine-year tenure with the Catholic Foundation of Columbus, including a stint as Board Chair.
