The president of Ultrapar, Marcos Lutz, and the Perfin infrastructure fund are negotiating to acquire a 30% stake in Brazilian railway operator Rumo. The deal, which depends on agreement on key terms, may not be finalized. The two companies would buy their stakes from Cosan, which operates in sugar, lubricants, fuel distribution, rail transport, and residential gas supply. The acquisition would significantly change Rumo's shareholder structure and expand Ultrapar's presence in infrastructure and agricultural logistics.
