Uber Freight, a leading enterprise technology company in the logistics sector, has appointed Rebecca Tinucci as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO). Tinucci will succeed founder and former CEO Lior Ron, who will transition to the role of Chairman. Ron will also take on a new position as COO of Waabi, a company pioneering Physical AI starting with autonomous trucking, underscoring Uber’s continued commitment to innovation across logistics and autonomous technologies [1].

Tinucci brings extensive experience from Tesla and Uber. At Tesla, she led the global charging organization, transforming it into a profitable, multi-billion-dollar business and spearheading industry-wide collaborations that set the North American standard for electric vehicle infrastructure. Most recently, she led Uber’s global electrification strategy, forging partnerships across the energy and mobility ecosystems to accelerate Uber’s zero-emission goals [1].

Under Ron’s leadership, Uber Freight has grown from a startup within Uber to a global logistics platform with over $20 billion in Freight Under Management (FUM). The company has introduced several flagship innovations, including Uber Freight TMS, Exchange, Powerloop, and the recently launched Insights AI, which have redefined how technology can make supply chains smarter, faster, and more resilient for shippers and carriers [1].

Tinucci will focus on innovation and customer-centric growth, building on Uber Freight's $20 billion Freight Under Management and its suite of end-to-end logistics applications, managed services, and expansive carrier network. Her appointment marks a new chapter in the company's evolution as an end-to-end enterprise logistics platform delivering integrated technology, services, and solutions across the supply chain [1].

Tinucci will take the stage as CEO at Deliver 2025, Uber Freight’s flagship customer event, this September. She will be responsible for driving Uber Freight’s continued growth and innovation, with a focus on enhancing the customer experience and expanding the company’s offerings [1].
