The U.S. General Services Administration (GSA) has awarded a rideshare blanket purchase agreement (BPA) to Uber, aiming to reduce travel costs for federal agencies. This partnership, part of GSA’s OneGov strategy, offers competitive pricing and enhances the overall employee experience by providing convenient and reliable transportation options. The agreement benefits federal employees, military personnel, and federal contractors globally, streamlining processes and reducing costs.
Uber for Business will now be available to government contractors, expanding access to the same benefits as federal employees. This move supports the modernization of government travel and operations, with Uber for Business profiles providing enhanced visibility into all business activities on the platform. The agreement also includes international availability, allowing U.S. government employees and contractors to use Uber for Business in over 15,000 cities and 70 countries.
Federal agencies can now leverage Uber for Business for mission-support transportation needs, such as natural disaster relief efforts. Additionally, high-capacity vehicles will be available through Uber’s platform, accommodating larger groups for various purposes.
