Seabridge Gold, in a separate announcement, revealed that Tudor Gold has filed a notice of appeal in the British Columbia Supreme Court regarding the contested tunnels at its Treaty Creek project. The tunnels, known as the Mitchell Treaty Tunnels (MTT), are part of Seabridge Gold's KSM project and have been a source of contention due to their impact on Tudor Gold's exploration plans.
In a significant move, Tudor Gold has also announced its 2025 exploration drill program at the Treaty Creek Project, aiming to further assess the high-grade Supercell Cell One zone. The company expects to receive funding from various investors, including 2176423 Ontario Ltd., to support these exploration efforts.
Moreover, Tudor Gold has signed a letter of intent to acquire American Creek Resources Ltd. for approximately CAD 62.7 million, with the aim of increasing its stake in the Treaty Creek Project to 80%. This acquisition is part of Tudor Gold's strategy to enhance its position in the Golden Triangle of Northwestern British Columbia, an area known for its heavyweight deposits.
Despite these developments, Tudor Gold's shares have been volatile, closing at CAD 0.52 apiece after a 21% year-to-date loss, while Seabridge Gold's shares slid CAD 0.05 to CAD 21.45 following the announcement of the legal challenge. Seabridge Gold, with a market capitalization of CAD 2.2 billion, has a net present value (NPV) of CAD 7.9 billion for its KSM project, which includes the MTT.
