Trump Raises $139 Million In July, But His Lead Over Harris Narrows

With only three months left until the election day, the overall situation has once again undergone subtle changes.

According to the campaign team of the Republican candidate Donald Trump, they reported on Thursday that Trump raised nearly $139 million for his campaign in July, with a total cash amount reaching $327 million.

The team emphasized that the latest figures reflect the continued support for Trump from donors at all levels and provide resources for the final campaign.

July is also a very important month on Trump's campaign road. In just one month, he successively experienced a failed assassination attempt, confirmed his running mate J.D. Vance, and witnessed his biggest rival Biden announcing his withdrawal from the race.

This series of major events is also the main reason for the sharp increase in donations from Republican voters. However, as the Democratic Party hands over the campaign baton to Harris, this trend is changing.

At present, Harris's team has not yet announced its financial report for July, but it said that Harris received a donation of $200 million in the first week after replacing Biden, far more than Trump's monthly harvest. In addition, Harris also inherited the $96 million in campaign funds left by Biden, which makes her resources abundant.

The latest poll data released on Wednesday shows that Trump's support rate leads Harris by 1.7 percentage points, 47.5% to 46.2%, but compared with the polls released on July 21, Trump's leading advantage has been halved.

It is worth noting that Harris's support rate among black voters, Spanish voters, and female voters is significantly higher than Trump's, and this momentum is still strengthening, posing a great challenge to Trump's campaign.

In addition, according to the media obtained the recording exposure, Trump's running mate Pence privately worried at an event last Saturday that he and Trump have suffered some political blows, due to the sudden rise of Harris. He revealed that Harris does not have the obvious burden of Biden, she is much younger, and will not be as easily trapped as Biden.

At present, Trump's attack on Harris focuses on her racial identity, but according to an advisor to Trump's team, the core strategy of the campaign should be on Harris's overly liberal political views, such as the southern border, crime, economy, and foreign affairs. Attacking the candidate's identity is not very helpful.

Obviously, there are signs of disconnection between Trump and his team, which also leads to the silence of other Republicans. Senator Cynthia Lummis, who supports Trump, rarely opposes and says that in this election, there will be no winner around race and identity, and people's skin color is not important.
