President Donald Trump has launched Trump Mobile, a new mobile phone service offering unlimited calling and texting to over 100 countries. The service will use U.S. wireless networks and offer a Trump-branded phone, the T1, made in America. Plans will start at $47.45 per month, with a gold version of the T1 phone available for preorder. Trump Mobile is powered by Liberty Mobile, an MVNO using the T-Mobile network. The launch aims to disrupt the big three wireless operators in the US and test the loyalty of Trump fans.

President Donald Trump has expanded his business empire into the U.S. telecom market with the launch of Trump Mobile, a new mobile phone service offering unlimited calling and texting to over 100 countries. The service, which will use U.S. wireless networks, is set to disrupt the established market and test the loyalty of Trump fans.

Trump Mobile, announced on Monday, offers a monthly mobile plan priced at $47.45, a reference to Trump's résumé as the nation's 45th and 47th president. The service will be powered by Liberty Mobile, a mobile virtual network operator (MVNO) that uses the T-Mobile network. The 47 Plan includes unlimited calls, texting, and data, along with roadside assistance and telehealth services.

The company also plans to release a Trump-branded smartphone, the T1, in August. The gold-colored phone features a built-in camera and 256 gigabytes of storage, with an American flag and "T1" inscribed on the back. The T1 will cost $499, including a $100 down payment.

The venture is being led by Donald Trump's sons, Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr., and staff at the newly formed Trump Mobile. The company aims to deliver high-quality service and is based in the United States to cater to American customers' preferences.

While the launch of Trump Mobile is a significant move into the telecom market, it comes with potential regulatory complications. The Federal Communications Commission (FCC) chairman, Brendan Carr, may face conflicts of interest due to his position with the Trump family.

Trump Mobile's entry into the market could be seen as a challenge to the big three wireless operators in the U.S. and an attempt to capitalize on the loyalty of Trump supporters. However, the success of the venture will depend on factors such as customer satisfaction, competitive pricing, and the ability to navigate regulatory hurdles.
