Trump Jr. Denies Truth Social Memecoin Launch Amidst Crypto Rumors

Donald Trump Jr. has refuted rumors circulating among crypto influencers that Truth Social, the conservative social media platform associated with Donald Trump, is planning to launch a memecoin.
Ran Neuner, a well-known influencer, had spread claims and a viral post about an upcoming Truth Social token, alleging it was from the same team behind the TRUMP memecoin. In response, Trump Jr. took to X to clarify the situation. "There’s no truth whatsoever about Truth Social launching a memecoin," he wrote. "Don’t be fooled by false information people are circulating."
This clarification comes amidst a surge of unaffiliated "Truth"-themed tokens appearing on various trading platforms. World Liberty Financial (WLFI), a DeFi project linked to the Trump family, supported Trump Jr.’s statement, emphasizing that WLFI is the only DeFi project backed by the Trumps. "Don’t be fooled. There is no new Trump crypto project," WLFI posted on X. "Anyone else pushing fake tokens is just a scammer trying to take advantage of people who don’t know better."
Truth Social, launched in 2022, has not officially engaged with cryptocurrency despite growing speculation around political tokens. However, the platform has plans to introduce a rewards coin with an attached digital wallet, as mentioned in a shareholder letter from late April. This move indicates a potential future involvement with digital assets, but it does not confirm the launch of a memecoin as speculated by some influencers.
