DTTM Operations, a company managing U.S. President Donald Trump's intellectual property rights, has filed a trademark with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) that hints at potential plans for non-fungible tokens (NFTs) and a metaverse platform. The filing lists various products and services related to blockchain technology, including accessing NFTs, managing cryptocurrency transactions, virtual reality software and hardware, and game software featuring crypto tokens for use in online virtual worlds.

The filing status indicates that the application has been accepted by the office and is awaiting an examiner. While the nature of the filing does not directly reveal the specifics of the platform or its launch timeline, it does mention the inclusion of various collectibles of Trump. The filing states, "Computer services, namely, creating an online virtual environment for exchange of digital collectibles featuring images, sound, videos, and texts of Donald J. Trump."

Trump has previously shown interest in the crypto space, launching his own TRUMP memecoin and expressing support for making bitcoin the reserve currency of the U.S. He has also released his own NFTs, some of which offered owners access to exclusive experiences such as Trump sneakers, Trump cocktails, and dinner at Trump National Golf Club in Jupiter, Florida, with Trump himself.

If this metaverse platform materializes, it could potentially revitalize metaverse-related tokens such as Sandbox (SAND) and Decentraland (MANA), which have been struggling since the 2021 hype around the metaverse faded.
