Donald Trump’s crypto team has introduced a new digital wallet, further expanding the ’s blockchain initiatives. The wallet, which is now available for waitlist sign-ups and has an associated X (formerly Twitter) account, is designed to enable users to store and trade cryptocurrencies,

, and other blockchain assets.

The development of this wallet is a collaborative effort with Magic Eden, a prominent NFT marketplace. The backend infrastructure for the wallet will be provided by Slingshot Finance, a company recently acquired by Magic Eden, as indicated in the site’s legal disclosures.

Jack Lu, the CEO of Magic Eden, confirmed the project and highlighted the importance of on-chain innovation in the crypto space. He also hinted at additional features beyond Bitcoin and Ethereum trading, suggesting that more exciting use cases are in the pipeline.

Despite the Trump branding, some family members have distanced themselves from the project. Eric Trump and Donald Trump Jr. both stated on X that they were unaware of the initiative. Eric Trump explicitly mentioned that he runs Trump and has no knowledge of this project.

This digital wallet is part of a broader range of Trump-branded crypto ventures, including NFTs, a DeFi platform developed by his sons, memecoins associated with Trump and Melania, a stablecoin, a mining firm, and plans for a future video game. Additionally,

has recently acquired Bitcoin for its treasury, further solidifying the company's involvement in the crypto space.

Critics have raised concerns about potential conflicts of interest, especially as Trump’s administration advocates for relaxed regulations on cryptocurrencies. Just two weeks ago, protesters accused Trump of using memecoins to grant pay-to-play access at a high-level donor dinner held at one of his clubs.

Robert Weissman, co-president of Public Citizen, described Trump’s blockchain empire as “one of the most corrupt innovations in American political history.”
