Tottenham Hotspur have signed Ghanaian forward Mohammed Kudus from West Ham United on a long-term contract, reportedly worth around 55 million pounds ($74.59 million). Kudus signed a six-year deal until 2031 and expressed excitement to work under new manager Thomas Frank, who he believes will help him develop his skills. The 24-year-old joins Spurs after scoring 13 goals and registering 12 assists in two league seasons with West Ham.

Tottenham Hotspur has reportedly agreed to sign Ghanaian forward Mohammed Kudus from West Ham United for a fee of Β£55 million. The deal, which is expected to be finalized after Kudus undergoes a medical examination, sees the 24-year-old joining the Lilywhites on a six-year contract until 2031. Kudus, who has scored 13 goals and registered 12 assists in his two seasons with West Ham, is excited to work under new manager Thomas Frank, whom he believes will help him develop his skills.

The signing of Kudus marks a significant move for Tottenham, as it is the first transfer between the two clubs since Scott Parker's move to Spurs in 2011. The deal was reportedly a priority for Thomas Frank, who has identified Kudus as a player who can provide much-needed depth in Tottenham's wide attacking positions. The fee also avoids the "Tottenham tax" that was widely reported, given West Ham's reluctance to do business with the north London side in the past.

The transfer has been met with mixed reactions from fans of both clubs. Some Chelsea supporters expressed dissatisfaction with the move, as they had been expecting Kudus to exercise patience while the club sold Noni Madueke to raise funds to sign him. Others asserted that Kudus' downturn in performance during the 2024/2025 season contributed to Chelsea not making genuine efforts to secure his signature, leading to the signing of Joao Pedro instead. Manchester United fans also blamed their officials for their inability to sign Kudus to bolster their team despite expressing interest for quite some time.

Spurs remain interested in Brentford's Yoane Wissa, and the Kudus deal is not expected to impact this pursuit. Tottenham believes that the environment under Thomas Frank will help Kudus fire like he did in his first campaign in England, and the new manager's approach may be significant in helping Kudus get near the levels he achieved at West Ham.
