TotalEnergies and Xing Mobility Partner on Immersive Battery Cooling Systems for Electrified Applications

TotalEnergies and Taiwanese company Xing Mobility have signed a memorandum of understanding to promote immersive battery cooling systems for electrified applications. The partnership aims to accelerate the adoption of next-generation cooling technologies in marine solutions certified in Europe and in energy storage systems. The agreement combines TotalEnergies' expertise in advanced fluids with Xing Mobility's immersion cooling battery technology, initially developed for high-performance electric sports cars. The partnership will be extended to other sectors, including stationary energy storage, mobility, and backup power for AI data centers.

The MOU, signed on August 29, 2025, outlines plans to optimize and promote electrified marine applications, followed by the expansion into energy storage solutions, mobility, and backup power for AI data centers. The collaboration will also extend to critical applications such as sportscar, electrified underground mining machinery, and aviation.
