The Toronto Raptors have signed veteran centre Mo Bamba to help alleviate their need for rim protection and presence in the paint with Jakob Poeltl out with a back injury. Bamba, a 7-footer, brings defensive intensity and rebounding skills, which the Raptors need during Poeltl's absence. He has played for the Orlando Magic, Los Angeles Lakers, Philadelphia, Los Angeles Clippers, and New Orleans Pelicans. The Raptors plan to give him a clear opportunity to prove his value to the team.
