TikTok Introduces Audio Messaging and Expanded Image and Video Sharing in DMs

Users can create audio clips by holding down on the microphone icon and can delete a voice message within 3 minutes of sending it. The app also allows users to send up to nine images or videos as attachments to DMs, and has added safety features, such as restricting image and video sharing for initial message requests and requiring users to be at least 16 years old to use DMs. These updates align with broader usage shifts and may see more people conducting more engagement activity in the app.
