Thesis Acquires Lolli to Expand Bitcoin Rewards Infrastructure
Thesis, a venture studio with a focus on BitcoinBTC--, has acquired Lolli, a Bitcoin rewards platform. The terms of the deal were not disclosed. This acquisition is a strategic move by Thesis to strengthen its position in the Bitcoin rewards infrastructure.
Thesis had previously incubated FoldFOLD--, another Bitcoin rewards platform, which later spun off into an independent company. Fold reached a Special Purpose Acquisition Company (SPAC) merger agreement with FTAC Emerald Acquisition Corp. in July 2024 and went public on Nasdaq in February under the ticker symbol FLD.
With the acquisition of Lolli, Thesis aims to position itself as a leader in Bitcoin rewards technology. This move is part of Thesis's mission to build a Bitcoin-powered lifestyle economy and transform Bitcoin from a buy-and-hold asset to the foundation of a modern decentralized economy.
Lolli, founded in 2018, allows users to earn Bitcoin and cashback when shopping at over 50,000 retailers or playing over 1,000 mobile games, both online and in-store. This acquisition will enable Thesis to offer a more comprehensive suite of services to its users, enhancing its offerings in the Bitcoin rewards sector.
The integration of Lolli into Thesis's ecosystem is expected to strengthen its presence in the Bitcoin rewards infrastructure. This move highlights the growing importance of Bitcoin rewards platforms in the broader cryptocurrency ecosystem, as more users seek ways to earn and spend Bitcoin through everyday transactions.
