Thailand is offering the US greater market access for farm and industrial goods, increased energy purchases, and more Boeing jet sales in a bid to avert a 36% export tariff. Bangkok's revised proposal aims to reduce Thailand's $46 billion trade surplus with the US by 70% within five years. If accepted, Thailand can waive import tariffs or non-tariff barriers for a majority of products and phase out restrictions gradually for others.
