Textron Aviation Defense Plans Wichita Production for Beechcraft M-346N if Awarded U.S. Navy's UJTS Contract

Textron Aviation Defense plans to assemble the Beechcraft M-346N in Wichita, Kansas, if awarded the Undergraduate Jet Training System contract by the U.S. Navy. The company expects to invest $38 million in existing manufacturing space and create an estimated 100 direct manufacturing jobs. The M-346N is a twin-engine aircraft with fly-by-wire flight controls, advanced avionics, and safety features like the Automatic Ground Collision Avoidance System.
