Tether Unveils AI Apps: Bitcoin Wallet Assistant, Translator, and Voice Assistant

Tether's CEO, Paolo Ardoino, has given a sneak peek into the company's upcoming artificial intelligence (AI) applications. In a recent post, Ardoino showcased three short clips demonstrating how Tether's AI apps will function for desktop and mobile phone users in the future. Currently, Tether (USDT) is developing an AI translator, an AI voice assistant, and an AI Bitcoin (BTC) wallet assistant.
The AI Bitcoin wallet assistant, in particular, can monitor a user's wallet balance and execute crypto transactions upon command. In the preview, the user interacts with the Tether AI assistant, known as the Tether Payment Agent, to retrieve their wallet address, BTC balance, and recipient names. The user then instructs the payment agent to send 0.001 BTC to a recipient, which the agent promptly executes and provides the transaction ID.
Ardoino assured users that these AI features will operate locally on any device, ensuring "full privacy, self-custodial (both data and money)." These apps will be integrated into Tether Data, Tether's own AI Software Development Kit (AI SDK) Platform. Ardoino announced that Tether will soon launch its own AI SDK platform, which will be open-source and built upon Bare (Holepunch's javascript runtime), compatible with every hardware.
