Teslas Volume Soars, Palantir and Microstrategy Surge Amid Market Shifts

1. Tesla (Nasdaq: TSLA)
Tesla dropped solidly by -3.46%, with the trading volume of 55.71B. Tesla updated software to address a recall issue affecting nearly 690,000 vehicles in the US due to a faulty tire pressure monitoring system warning light. All Tesla models use AMD chips, reportedly offering the fastest in-car response times globally.

2. Nvidia (Nasdaq: NVDA)
Nvidia gained solidly by 3.08%, with the trading volume of 39.44B. Nvidia's acquisition of AI startup Run:ai has received unconditional EU approval, aiming to enhance its Nvidia DGX Cloud by integrating Run:ai's resources. The financial terms were not disclosed. Additionally, the U.S. is requiring Nvidia to investigate chip flows into China.

3. Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL)
Apple gained mildly by 1.88%, with the trading volume of 31.80B. The EU mandates Apple to open iOS for third-party compatibility, Apple may partner with Tencent and ByteDance for AI development, seeks Chinese AI collaborations, and could delay its foldable iPhone to 2026. Apple also halts iPhone SE and iPhone 14 sales in the EU due to USB-C requirements.

4. Broadcom (Nasdaq: AVGO)

Apple and Meta are in a dispute over interoperability with EU intervention. Meta collaborates with universities on the ExploreToM framework for AI advancements.

6. Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT)

Microsoft announced plans to phase out the Tags feature in Microsoft 365 applications starting January 6, 2025, as part of its product update strategy. Also, Office users experienced activation issues, and CEO mentioned Google's substantial earnings from Windows.

7. Palantir Technologies (NYSE: PLTR)
Palantir Technologies surged by 8.54%, with the trading volume of 22.04B. Palantir's Q3 2024 revenue rose 26.06% year-over-year to $20.38 billion. Benchmark maintains a buy rating with a target of $8.00. UBS covers Palantir with a neutral rating, targeting $80.00. UBS notes strong fundamentals despite valuation challenges.

8. Amazon (Nasdaq: AMZN)
Amazon.Com gained mildly by 0.73%, with the trading volume of 19.48B. Amazon workers at seven US warehouses, including the JFK8 facility on Staten Island, joined a strike due to unfair treatment. Tigress Financial and JPMorgan raised their price targets, while Amazon opened a new same-day delivery center to enhance logistics.

9. Microstrategy Incorporated (Nasdaq: MSTR)
Microstrategy Incorporated surged by 11.56%, with the trading volume of 15.68B. Microstrategy reported a trading volume of $13.558 billion on December 20, ranking tenth among U.S. stocks that day.

10. Apollo Global Management (NYSE: APO)
Apollo Global Management gained mildly by 0.77%, with the trading volume of 15.62B. Apollo Global Management's latest ratings include outperform from Keefe, Bruyette & Woods with a target of $196, outperform from BMO Capital at $186, and an overweight from Piper Sandler with a target of $202. The company's Q3 2024 revenue was $208.31 billion.
