Tesla (TSLA.US) launches ASS feature in China for vehicles equipped with EAP or FSD
Following the United States, Europe and the Middle East, Tesla (TSLA.US) officially launched the Advanced Summon (Actually Smart Summon, ASS) feature in China.
The American electric vehicle maker announced on Weibo on December 13 that the ASS feature has been launched in China, which allows Tesla owners to let their vehicles automatically park out of a parking space and drive to the owner's side or the location specified on the owner's phone, while the vehicle needs to be in the owner's line of sight during the driving process.
It is worth noting that the feature will be pushed to owners through OTA remote software updates. The feature is applicable to vehicles equipped with Enhanced Autopilot (EAP) or Full Self-Driving (FSD). This means owners with free basic autopilot (BAP) will not be able to use the feature.
The cost of FSD in China is Rmb64,000, and the cost of EAP is Rmb32,000.
It is understood that Tesla officially launched the ASS feature in the United States in September this year and brought it to Europe and the Middle East last month.
