Such a failure requires the driver to exert more effort to steer, particularly noticeable at lower speeds, thereby increasing crash risks.

Tesla has proactively responded to this issue by introducing a free over-the-air (OTA) software update aimed at mitigating the defect. Importantly, there have been no reported incidents of accidents or injuries related to this flaw at present.
