Tesla's latest generation of V4 Superchargers will arrive in China in 2025.
According to Silver Finance and Economics, Tesla (TSLA.US) recently started the deployment of V4 superchargers in North America, Asia-Pacific, Europe and other regions, with plans to start deploying in mainland China in 2025. The V4 superchargers are equipped with Tesla's most advanced charging technology, significantly upgrading the charging experience for Tesla owners, and fully supporting more third-party vehicles, including existing models and more newly released models.
The V4 supercharging cabinets that can be used with V4 superchargers have been officially released, with a maximum charging power of 500kW (for passenger vehicles) and 1.2MW (for Tesla's electric heavy-duty commercial truck Semi, equivalent to 1200kW). The maximum charging power of V4 supercharging cabinets is significantly higher than that of V3 cabinets, meaning that each charging vehicle can get a higher charging power when multiple vehicles are charging at the same time. The deployment of V4 supercharging cabinets is yet to be officially announced.
Tesla has deployed over 2,000 supercharging stations and more than 11,500 superchargers in mainland China, with a comprehensive charging solution that includes "destination chargers as a supplement, third-party chargers and universal mobile chargers as a supplement", with an availability rate of over 99.5% for years. The "charging is more convenient than refueling" charging experience is becoming a daily routine for electric vehicle owners.
