The maiden mineral resource estimate (MRE) reported in August 2022 [1] [2] outlined 148 million tonnes of titanium dioxide, vanadium pentoxide, copper, and platinum group elements. The program is strategically planned to extend the known mineralization along strike and at depth, test new high-priority targets, and explore the broader potential of the Jameson Layered Intrusion.
Terra Metals is well-funded for this ambitious exploration campaign, having recently secured A$15 million in a placement led by Golden Energy and Resources (GEAR), Tribeca Investment Partners, and investor Matt Latimore. The funding will support the drilling program, which includes step-out drilling at Reef 1 and Reef 2, and testing of new targets across the Jameson Layered Intrusion.
The Dante Project, located within the Jameson Layered Intrusion, shares characteristics with South Africa's famed Bushveld Complex, which is known for its rich deposits of platinum group metals, chromium, and vanadium. The project's multi-metal nature provides exposure to critical metals essential for the energy transition, including titanium, vanadium, copper, and platinum group elements.
Investors should watch for drilling results from the extension of Reef 1 and Reef 2, which could significantly expand the resource base, as well as first-pass results from previously untested targets that may reveal new discovery zones. The program is expected to feed into updated resource estimates later this year.
