TEGNA Inc. (NYSE: TGNA) has announced the appointment of Carol Fowler, Julie Wolfe, and Chris Peña as vice presidents of content, effective June 30, 2025. These strategic appointments are part of TEGNA's ongoing commitment to invest in content and build a sustainable future for local news [1].

Carol Fowler, a TEGNA veteran, will oversee content strategy for the Mid-South region, including key cities such as St. Louis, Knoxville, Memphis, Louisville, Fort Smith, Little Rock, and New Orleans. Julie Wolfe, also a TEGNA veteran, will manage content strategy for the West region, encompassing cities like Phoenix, Sacramento, San Diego, Seattle, Portland, Spokane, Boise, and Denver. Chris Peña, a former Univision executive, will oversee the Midwest region, covering areas such as Cleveland, Toledo, Columbus, Grand Rapids, Indianapolis, Des Moines, Davenport, and Minneapolis [1].

Each new vice president will focus on the quality, depth, and relevance of local news coverage, emphasizing the local impact and daily practical value of information.
