Technip Energies has signed a major EPC contract with Commonwealth LNG for a 9.5 million metric tons per year LNG project in Louisiana, US. The contract, valued over €1bn, involves the delivery of six standardized liquefaction trains using the SnapLNG by T.ENTM solution. The project aims to accelerate execution, optimize costs, and improve predictability, and follows the successful completion of the FEED study by Technip Energies.

Technip Energies (PARIS:TE) has signed a significant Engineering, Procurement, and Construction (EPC) contract with Commonwealth LNG for a 9.5 million metric tons per year (Mtpa) liquefied natural gas (LNG) project in Cameron Parish, Louisiana, USA. The contract, valued at over €1 billion, involves the delivery of six standardized liquefaction trains using Technip Energies' SnapLNG by T.ENTM modular and scalable solution [1].

The SnapLNG by T.ENTM solution offers several advantages, including schedule acceleration, cost optimization, and greater predictability at scale by leveraging a single design replicated across all six trains. This contract follows the successful completion of the front-end engineering and design (FEED) phase by Technip Energies, which further cements its position as a global leader in LNG [2].

Arnaud Pieton, CEO of Technip Energies, commented, "We are honored to be awarded the Commonwealth LNG project, which is a testament to our world-leading expertise in modularized LNG solutions. This project is pivotal in enhancing global energy security by ensuring a reliable and efficient supply of LNG. We are eager to leverage our world-class experience in LNG projects associated with our SnapLNG by T.ENTM innovative modular and productized approach to contribute to the success of this critical energy initiative."

This award is pending the Final Investment Decision (FID) by Commonwealth LNG and will not be included in Technip Energies’ backlog until the FID or full notice to proceed is achieved.

Technip Energies, with its leadership positions in LNG, hydrogen, ethylene, sustainable chemistry, and CO2 management, is committed to developing critical markets such as energy, energy derivatives, decarbonization, and circularity. The company generated revenues of €6.9 billion in 2024 and is listed on Euronext Paris [1].

Commonwealth LNG is developing a 9.5 Mtpa LNG export terminal project near Cameron, Louisiana. The project's leadership team is dedicated to building a world-class LNG facility while focusing on safety, risk management, and achieving best-in-class environmental standards [2].
