TechInsights: iPhone 16 Pro shipments shortened
Apple's (APPL.US) iPhone 16 series officially launched on Friday (September 20). TechInsights published that buyers of iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max in Apple's key markets can receive their phones faster than before (via express delivery, not in-store pickup). The shipping time of the black 256GB version of iPhone 16 Pro and Pro Max in the US, China and the UK is shortened by 1-2 weeks and 2-3 weeks, respectively, compared with iPhone 15 Pro and 15 Pro Max. TechInsights expects the iPhone 16 series to achieve 72.5 million shipments in the second half of 2024, up 4% YoY, while the shipments of iPhone 15 series in the second half of 2023 are 69.5 million. The following table summarizes the retail price (in US dollars and local currency) and shipping time of iPhone 16 series (only black 256GB version) in the five major markets of the US, China, Japan, the UK and India on September 20.
