Tech Titans Trading Volume Surge: Key Market Moves and Insights

1. Nvidia (Nasdaq: NVDA)
Nvidia dipped mildly by -2.10%, with the trading volume of 51.18B. Nvidia reported its second-quarter fiscal 2025 results, with earnings not meeting the most optimistic forecasts. Production of new Blackwell chips is delayed. CEO Jensen Huang said Nvidia will start mass production and delivery of Blackwell chips in Q4. CFO indicated sustained profit margins around 75%.

2. Super Micromputer (Nasdaq: SMCI)
Super Micromputer plunged by -19.02%, with the trading volume of 15.69B. CFRA downgraded Super Micro Computer to hold with a new target price of $454. Barclays reiterated an overweight rating with a target price of $693. The company's revenue for the year ending June 30, 2024, was $149.43 billion, up 109.77%.

3. Tesla (Nasdaq: TSLA)
Tesla dipped mildly by -1.65%, with the trading volume of 13.06B. Tesla's growth is becoming increasingly challenging, though it recently introduced Sentry Mode preview and won a $133 million contract for expanding the Western Downs Battery Storage project.

4. Apple (Nasdaq: AAPL)
Apple dipped mildly by -0.68%, with the trading volume of 8.58B. Tigress Financial maintained a Strong Buy rating on Apple with a price target of $295. Apple began mass production of new MacBook Pro models with M4 Pro/Max chips. Apple is collaborating with Bharti Airtel to enter India's streaming market. Apple laid off approximately 100 employees in its digital services department.

5. Microsoft (Nasdaq: MSFT)
Microsoft dipped mildly by -0.78%, with the trading volume of 5.71B. Microsoft and OpenAI are in talks for a new funding round valuing OpenAI at over $100 billion, with Thrive Capital leading and Microsoft participating. Microsoft released Windows 11 update KB5041587. Microsoft will change Excel Forms Responses synchronization, phasing out the old service by October 2024. Microsoft transferred the Mono project to WineHQ.

6. Amazon (Nasdaq: AMZN)
Amazon.Com dipped mildly by -1.34%, with the trading volume of 4.88B. Amazon executives criticized the gaming industry, facing backlash. Amazon's "Remarkable Alexa" AI model is in development. Canalys predicts Amazon Cloud and other major cloud providers will see Cloud Marketplace sales soar to $850 billion by 2028. Amazon plans to launch a fast commercial service in India by 2025.

7. Advanced Micro Devices (Nasdaq: AMD)
Advanced Micro Devices dipped mildly by -2.75%, with the trading volume of 4.87B. AMD and Inspur Energy's Transportation Division co-hosted the "Intelligent Genesis, Infinite Innovations" Automotive Intelligentization Innovation Application Technology Forum on August 24. AMD plans to release four RDNA 4 desktop GPUs, including the gfx1201 GPU, which appeared in GeekBench tests.

8. Pdd Holdings (Nasdaq: PDD)
Pdd Holdings plunged by -7.03%, with the trading volume of 4.78B. Pinduoduo's Q2 2024 revenue rose to ¥97.1 billion, up nearly 90%, and net profit reached ¥32.01 billion, up 144%. JD.com announced a new share buyback plan up to $5 billion and achieved Q2 revenue of ¥291.4 billion, with a 69% net profit increase.

9. Meta Platforms (Nasdaq: META)
Meta Platforms dipped mildly by -0.45%, with the trading volume of 4.65B. Meta to shut down AR tool Spark to focus on AR/VR hardware. Six million creators concerned. Olivan Javier sold 413 shares on August 23, 2024. CEO Mark Zuckerberg declared neutrality in election funding.

10. Salesforce (NYSE: CRM)
Salesforce dipped mildly by -1.97%, with the trading volume of 2.80B. Salesforce reported Second Quarter fiscal 2025 results with net income attributed to common shareholders. JMP Securities reiterated a Market Outperform rating with a target price of $342.00. Citigroup maintained a Neutral rating with a target price of $290.00.
