Dell Technologies is preparing to lay off an undisclosed number of employees in China, joining a growing list of US tech companies scaling back operations in the country. The layoffs are focused in Dell's EMC storage unit and Client Solutions Group, primarily affecting staff in Shanghai and Xiamen. This is part of Dell's broader global workforce reductions, as the company's total headcount dropped to around 108,000 as of January 31, down from approximately 120,000 a year earlier.
