Taseko Mines Announces First Copper Production at Florence Copper Operation

Taseko Mines Limited has announced the first copper production at its Florence Copper operation in Arizona, marking the first new copper production from a greenfield site in the US since 2008. The facility is expected to produce 1.5 billion pounds of copper over 22 years and become the third-largest copper cathode producer in the country once it reaches full annual capacity. The company aims to reduce reliance on copper imports by providing a new domestic source of critical minerals.
