Taproot Wizards Completes Whitelist Minting, 90% Sold at 0.1-0.2 BTC

The whitelist minting phase for Taproot Wizards, a prominent Bitcoin NFT project, has officially concluded. Out of the 1750 whitelisted spots, 1660 have successfully completed the minting process. The remaining 90 Taproot Wizards will be made available for public sale on March 27th at 23:00 Beijing time. Further details regarding the public sale are expected to be announced the following day.

Previously, the minting price for the initial 828 whitelist spots was set at 0.1 BTC, while the remaining spots were priced at 0.2 BTC. If all whitelist spots were sold, the Taproot Wizards team would have generated a minting revenue of 267.2 BTC, approximately $23.4 million. This would have positioned Taproot Wizards as the 8th highest NFT historical minting revenue to date.

On November 16, 2023, Taproot Wizards successfully completed a $7.5 million funding round. This round was led by Standard Crypto and saw participation from several notable investors, including Geometry, Collider Ventures, StarkWare, UTXO Management, Bitcoin Frontier Fund, Masterkey, and Newman Capital. This funding round underscores the growing interest and investment in the Bitcoin NFT space, with Taproot Wizards emerging as a key player in this emerging market.
