"TAO Bridges Traditional, Decentralized AI as Price Surges 10-Month High"

Bittensor (TAO) surged to a 10-month high of $539 on November 1, 2025, fueled by the launch of Europe's first staked TAO Exchange Traded Product (STAO) on Swiss exchanges. The product, developed by Deutsche Digital Assets in partnership with Safello, offers investors exposure to TAO's price appreciation and staking rewards of 10% annual yield, with an expense ratio of 1.49%, according to Coinotag. The ETP, listed on six Swiss exchanges, is physically backed by TAO tokens in cold storage, bridging traditional finance with decentralized AI and attracting institutional capital, Coinotag added.

The price rally followed a 23.62% jump in 24 hours, with trading volume surging 109% to $950 million as buyers accumulated aggressively. Spot market data from Coinalyze showed a buy-sell delta of 41k units, reflecting strong demand post-announcement, Coinotag reported. Derivatives activity also spiked, with futures open interest rising 64.8% to $446.28 million and net inflows hitting $28.53 million, signaling bullish sentiment. CoinGlass data corroborated the momentum, noting a 7.91% increase in TAO futures open interest to $331.65 million over 24 hours, alongside an OI-weighted funding rate of 0.0020%, up from -0.0022% the prior day in an FXStreet report.

The ETP's launch aligns with broader institutional interest in Bittensor's decentralized AI network. Deutsche Digital Assets and Safello's STAO ETP builds on existing demand, including a $10 million investment in TAO by Yuma's CEO Barry Silbert and growing staking activity. As of October 31, 19.99% of staked TAO (1.44 million tokens) had been swapped for alpha tokens, up from 17.63% on October 1, reflecting heightened risk appetite, according to FXStreet.

Technical indicators further support the bullish trajectory. TAO broke above a $474 resistance level that had stalled previous attempts for 10 months, with the Relative Strength Index (RSI) at 70 and a Sequential Pattern Strength of 35 indicating strong buyer dominance, according to CoinEdition. The Moving Average Convergence Divergence (MACD) also diverged from the signal line on the 4-hour chart, avoiding a bearish crossover as the price tested the $451 pivot point, FXStreet added.

Market analysts highlight additional catalysts, including Bittensor's upcoming halving event on December 10, which will reduce daily emissions from 7,200 to 3,600 TAO, potentially tightening supply, CoinEdition noted. Meanwhile, the token's market capitalization reached $5.37 billion, with fully diluted valuation at $11 billion, driven by an 18.76% 24-hour surge to $520 on HTX data, according to Lookonchain.

Despite the rally, profit-taking risks remain. CoinGlass reported a $7.05 million spot netflow at press time, down from $18.12 million the prior day, suggesting increased selling pressure from long-held positions, Coinotag noted. However, institutional inflows and derivatives optimism, including a 1.038 long-short ratio on Binance, indicate sustained demand, Coinotag added.
