Tamil Nadu Defence Industrial Corridor to Receive State-of-the-Art Testing Facility Under DTIS

The Defence Ministry has signed an MoU with TIDCO to establish a state-of-the-art testing facility in the Tamil Nadu Defence Industrial Corridor in Tiruchi under the Defence Testing Infrastructure Scheme (DTIS). The facility will be funded by the government and private entities, with a grant-in-aid of up to 75%. The project has an outlay of ₹400 crore and aims to promote indigenous defence production and reduce military equipment imports.
