Puttur Tahsildar S.B. Kudalagi has been absent from office since a case worker in his office was arrested on August 28 for receiving a bribe. The Lokayukta police caught the case worker accepting a bribe of ₹12,000. Kudalagi has not communicated with his Deputy Commissioner about going on leave, and the police have not ruled out his involvement in the case.
