Symrise AG Reports FY2025 Sales of €4.93 Billion, Aligns with Guidance
Symrise AG (SY1.F), a global leader in fragrances, flavors, and functional ingredients, reported full-year 2025 Group sales of €4,929 million, closely matching its estimated guidance of €4.93 billion. The company attributed this performance to organic sales growth of 2.8%, driven by its ONE Symrise Strategy and ongoing transformation initiatives. Adjusted EBITDA margin for the year reached 21.9%, reflecting operational efficiency and cost savings, while Business Free Cash Flow (BFCF) hit a record €780 million, or 15.8% of sales.

The company updated its 2025 outlook amid evolving macroeconomic conditions, narrowing organic growth guidance to 2.3%-3.3% from the prior 3.0%-5.0% range. This adjustment follows softening consumer demand in key markets and persistent tariff pressures. However, Symrise reaffirmed its EBITDA margin target of ~21.5% and BFCF margin of ~14% for the year.

Segment performance highlighted mixed trends. The Taste, Nutrition & Health segment achieved 1.2% organic growth in Q3 2025, with strong contributions from the Beverages and Naturals divisions. The Scent & Care segment grew 1.7% organically, supported by Fragrance and Cosmetic Ingredients, though Aroma Molecules faced competitive pressures.

Symrise also announced strategic capital allocation moves, including an inaugural €400 million share buyback and a 16th consecutive dividend increase to €1.25 per share. The company successfully issued an €800 million bond in September 2025, securing favorable terms with a 3.25% coupon and 7-year maturity. This follows the achievement of investment-grade credit ratings from S&P Global (BBB+) and Moody’s (Baa1).

Looking ahead, Symrise outlined a 2026 outlook targeting organic growth of 2.0%-4.0%, an adjusted EBITDA margin of 21.5%-22.5%, and a BFCF margin above 14%. The company remains focused on its ONE SYM Transformation, aiming to optimize operations and drive long-term value creation.
